The Band
About
Mirror Clippers are Naarm/Melbourne duo Daniel Brates (drums, synth, vox) and Adrien Siboulet aka SiB (guitar, bass, vox). Somewhere between CAN, BEAK> and Thee Oh Sees, they carve out a sound that is relentless, fast, hypnotic and gentle all at the same time — fusing psych, doom, krautrock and avant-garde into a two-piece storm of analogue fuzz-driven power rock. While both share vocal duties, Daniel anchors drums and synth while Adrien simultaneously plays guitar and bass through an original hybrid instrument — a uniquely Melbourne-made creation nicknamed The Gass. Having cut their teeth headlining many of Melbourne's most beloved live music venues over the last two years, Mirror Clippers released their self-titled debut LP in October 2025 — recorded live in one day at Soundpark Studios in Northcote with Andrew Hehir aka Idge, and mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring). The album explores themes of love, betrayal, grief and release, carried by grooves that stretch from chaos to beauty in a single breath.

The Gass
SiB plays guitar and bass simultaneously via The Gass — a Melbourne-made custom hybrid instrument. Two instruments, one player, one sound that shouldn’t be possible from a two-piece.
